A Letter From the Chamber President...

Dear Friends,

Welcome to your 2012 Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce. We have assembled a very strong and knowledgeable board to lead us into the New Year. One of our main focuses this year will be community team work.

When talking about TEAMWORK I feel the meaning can be best summed up by saying that it is the collective talents of many individuals working together towards a common goal. I believe this is what the Chamber is all about. We are going to continue to focus on our purpose and what we can do not only for the community, but also for our dedicated chamber members.

My goal for the Chamber in 2012 is to continue to find ways to promote Cottage Grove Businesses and build a higher level of teamwork amongst Chamber Members I would like to thank our current members and ask that we continue to focus on growing our chamber and help us help Cottage Grove become a better place to live.

The backbone of any community starts with a strong school system and the Monona Grove School District serves as a steadfast symbol of our community’s commitment to educating our children. It’s often a deciding factor when people choose to join our community.

Another reason to live here is the Glacial Drumlin State Bike Trail—one of our best kept secrets. Starting in Cottage Grove, the trail provides recreational opportunities for many who live in the surrounding areas.

Through these and other pluses of the community we can reach our ultimate goal of spurring economic development and encouraging growth in the retail and service sectors.

For all the work our members have done so far, I want to say “thank you.”

I invite other businesses to join us in preserving and promoting the pleasures that make Cottage Grove such a great place to live, work, and play!

Take Pride in Cottage Grove and know that your efforts will be recognized and rewarded.

I look forward to serving as your Chamber President and wish everyone a successful 2012.

Respectfully,

Scott Sadowski , President
Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce
